Harker Preschool

The Harker School’s Union Campus Project, a six-building design-build effort that included the demolition of one building, 20,000 s.f. of interior improvements and related site work, truly transformed the site from a long unused children’s shelter into a new, state-of-the-art preschool.

The goal was to update the existing structures to make them open, bright, vibrant spaces for learning, with added spaces to meet preschooler needs – like nap and play areas – and administrative space for the adults. The project team achieved that, while at the same time living out XL’s mission of being a great partner.

Despite a compressed schedule, delivery of the project was on schedule, allowing Harker to welcome up to 120 new students for the 2013-14 school year.

What Our Clients Have to Say:

"I don’t have words to describe how grateful I am to all of you for all that you have done to make this project work and be on time. Each one of you cared as much about the Harker Preschool as we did."
