Katie Perry
Interior Designer
A proud Magna Cum Laude graduate of San José State University, with a BFA in Interior Design, Katie embodies lifestyle expert Lorna Ryan’s observation that “Results happen over time – work hard, stay consistent and be patient.” Her diligence and methodical approach to her work is perfectly paired with her commitment to evidence-based design, and key to designing interior spaces that endure in their function, aesthetics, and meaning. Artistically, she’s especially inspired by Claude Monet. Not only did the master artist set an example through his determination to paint despite vision challenges, the technique he employed in his later paintings offers a parallel to the importance of viewing projects from different points of view. For example: up close, his paintings may look like a jumble of brushstrokes, but from a step back the strokes combine in perfect harmony to form a beautiful image. Similarly, beautiful interiors in her work on ABA’s healthcare projects come together from the careful consideration of materials, finishes, textures, and colors.
