Job Opportunity - Architectural Job Captain

If so, Anderson Brulé Architects, recently selected as the Firm of the Year by the AIA Santa Clara Valley, is currently seeking an Architectural Job Captain to join our firm. Candidates should demonstrate experience in the phases of architectural practice including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration with limited supervision. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive ability to take initial direction and execute. A positive attitude is a must. Successful candidates will have earned a degree in Architecture from a 4/5 year program or a Masters of Architecture and have 4-7 years of solid experience working in an Architectural Design Firm.

You should be able to exhibit proficiency in the following areas:

  • Creation of Construction Documents in Revit/AutoCAD
  • Preparation & ability to ensure accuracy of technical documents
  • Understanding of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Perform jurisdictional submittals and interact with jurisdictional personnel
  • Put together a full set of documents and show experience managing sub-consultants
  • Knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment

The ideal candidate must have integrity, be highly motivated, strong design ability and interest in being involved in all areas of an architectural practice. Recent experience in Health & Wellness (OSHPD) and Education a plus. LEED Accreditation is very important. Solid Revit, Adobe Creative Suite skills are a must! Proficiency in SketchUp, and Microsoft Office are a plus.
