There’s no doubt about it, 2020 has been a year like no other. And while many of us will be thankful to see it come to a close, this year has been brought Anderson Brulé Architects, Inc. Mark Schoeman, AIA, DBIA, has joined ABA as Design Principal
Advancing the continuing evolution of ABA, Mark Schoeman, AIA, DBIA, joined ABA as Design Principal. In his new role, Mark will lead design excellence, enrich ABA’s design philosophy and serve as a mentor. He will be instrumental in supporting ABA’s key clients in Education, Community, and Health and Wellness.

ABA Celebrates Multiple Awards in 2020 for El Gabilan Library - Now Open!
El Gabilan Library in Salinas, CA was unveiled to the community in February 2020. The new 20,800-sf facility received three awards bestowed by regional business, AEC industry and economic development organizations.

Monte Vista Christian Performing Arts Center
- Now Open!
ABA recently completed the Monte Vista Christian Performing Arts Center in Watsonville, CA. The Don Price Performing Arts Chapel at the Monte Vista Christian School is a 16,000-sf, multi-functional space that is intended to serve the school and it’s creative and talented thespians and musicians.

Ohlone College Academic Core Buildings Win AIA Silicon Valley Design Award

On Oct. 29 Ohlone College received the Architecture Merit Award for its Academic Core Buildings during the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Silicon Valley Design Awards. Totaling a combined 185,000-sf, ABA served as the associate architect for the Science Center, Music and Visual Arts Building, and Learning Commons-Library meant to collectively serve as an educational hub in the heart of the Ohlone Community College Fremont campus.

Krista Nelson Celebrates 25 Years at
ABA
Since joining ABA in 1995, Krista has developed a large following of very satisfied clients, including many current leaders within the Bay Area healthcare community. She’s worked on numerous projects for Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, and Washington Hospital projects.

Construction Begin at El Camino
College
ABA was selected to complete the architectural planning and design for El Camino College’s (ECC) Behavioral & Social Sciences (BSS) Building. As part of the ongoing campus facilities program at ECC, made possible by bond Measure E, the project recently broke ground and the future building will serve as a student and faculty hub centralized on campus with various interior and outdoor spaces, including a new courtyard.
