A Living Learning Environment
This LEED Gold master planned mixed-use, housing and retail project for California Polytechnic State University is comprised of nine buildings for on-campus student and staff housing and two parking garages. Included in the master plan was the addition of a new loop road to the campus, a residential neighborhood outdoor common space, a swimming pool, post office, and retail and restaurant spaces to serve the development. The project was delivered as a design build, with ABA as the Associate Architect. ABA supported the project from beginning to end, providing a collaborative design team approach and program reconciliation. ABA championed the sustainability of the entire project, by facilitating the team’s LEED design and documentation, as well as providing interior design and finishes selection.
