ABA's El Gabilan Library: More Than a Building

Salinas student writes ABA letter of appreciation

At ABA, we are passionate about designing spaces that not only look beautiful but also positively impact people's lives. That's why we were thrilled to receive a letter from Salinas High School student, Angel Vargas, about our design of the El Gabilan Library in Salinas, California. In his letter, Angel wrote, "The library has been a staple in my community since I was a child, and I am grateful to see it transformed into the most stunning building in town." His words serve as a reminder that our work goes beyond just creating aesthetically pleasing designs; it has the power to bring joy and inspiration to communities.

We invited Angel and his mother to the library, where we gave them a personalized tour of the space. We were accompanied by our project team members JC Fematt and Anissa Miranda, who worked diligently to bring our design to life.

After the tour, we invited Angel and Lucy to our office to meet with our leadership and associates. It was a great opportunity to give them a deeper understanding of our creative process and to share some of our other projects with them.

At ABA, we believe that good design has the power to transform lives. We're grateful to Angel for sharing his story with us and reminding us of the impact our work can have on communities.
