City of Sunnyvale Lakewood Library & Learning Center Groundbreaking

Announcement

On September 5th, 2024, local leaders and community members gathered to wield golden shovels and break ground for the City of Sunnyvale’s Lakewood Library & Learning Center. Slated to open in late 2025, the new 20,000-sf building will serve as beacon of multi-generational and multi-cultural learning for residents of north Sunnyvale, for whom access to city services is a high priority. With ABA as architect and Bobo Construction as General Contractor, the project is the outcome of a unique partnership between the City of Sunnyvale, Sunnyvale School District, and Fremont Union High School District, which reflects the desire to offer residents a truly flexible and dynamic community resource for literacy, learning and wellness.

ABA and our project team are thrilled to see construction begin and look forward to its completion, when it will welcome Sunnyvale residents to enjoy a rich variety of library, educational, and community services and programs.
