Kate has a BFA in Interior Design from San José State University and has worked in the Architecture/Interior Design industry since 2009. While she excels in design on a wide range of facility types including community, corporate, and education, her passion lies within the health and wellness markets. She loves to keep up with current research on design implications in the health and wellness sector, a commitment reflected in her achieving the Center for Health Design’s Evidence-based Design Accreditation and Certification.
Kate’s experience with ABA, coupled with her previous interiors work, allows her to leverage her multifaceted skillsets in concept development, programming, space planning, and material palette development. Her highly attuned sensitivity to the materiality of a design, combined with an adept use of color, allows her to carefully influence the function and mood of a space to increase the well-being of the people inhabiting that space.
When she’s not working, she can be found exploring the outdoors with her two little boys, crafting or sitting around the firepit with friends.
